Oxygen ozone therapy

Oxygen-ozone therapy is a medical treatment that is based on the use of a mixture of ozone gas mixed in small percentages with medical oxygen and administered to the body in adequate quantities. Depending on the pathology to be treated, the oxygen-ozone administration takes place in various ways.

TOPICAL PATH THROUGH BAGS

It is used for the upper and lower limbs. It consists of inserting the part of the injured limb in a special plastic bag made suitably watertight and introducing the oxygen-ozone mixture inside it through a special tube. This allows for rapid detention and sterilization of the ulcer.

PARAVERTEBRAL INTRAMUSCULAR INFILTRATION

Indicated in patients suffering from chronic muscle pain and in radiculopathies caused by hernias or disc protrusions.

SUBCUTANEOUS INFILTRATION

They are used in circulatory problems, in those of an aesthetic nature and in radiculopathies.

INTRARTICULAR INFILTRATION

In joint pain of degenerative or inflammatory origin.

PERITENDINAL INFILTRATION

They are used in tending and ligament inflammation.

PERINERVOUS INFILTRATION

They are indicated in canalicular syndromes (eg carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.).

SYSTEMIC ROUTE THROUGH GRAND AUTOEMOINFUSIONE (GAEI)

150 to 200 cc of blood are taken from a vein in the arm, using a special sterile bag. Without detaching the sampling needle from the patient, the doctor enriches the blood drawn by injecting the oxygen-ozone mixture into the bag. The tourniquet is then removed from the patient’s arm, the bag is lifted and the blood flows back into the body, bringing with it ozone and all its benefits.

SYSTEMIC ROUTE THROUGH SMALL AUTOHEMOINFUSION (PAEI)

The principle is that of the large autohemus infusion with the difference that in this case a few cc of venous blood are taken (about 10cc), enriched with ozone the re-grafted intramuscularly at the buttock level rather than intravenously. Usually used when it is necessary to stimulate the immune system (eg acne).

INSUFFLATIONS

Small tubes are used to introduce small amounts of oxygen-ozone into the vaginal and rectal cavities and into the urethra (rectal insufflations, urethral vaginal insufflations).

TOPICAL VULVAR PATH

Using the Donati’s cup, oxygen-ozone packs are carried out in the perivulvar region.

HYDROPINIC ROUTE

It consists of drinking previously hyperozonized water from a special device.

Effects of ozone: anti-inflammatory; muscle relaxant; analgesic; revitalizing; improves microcirculation; germicity action against viruses, bacteria, fungi; immunomodulating; immunostimulating; anti-aging; anti-cellulite; regenerative action on tissues.
