Manual lymphatic drainage is a particular type of massage practiced in areas of the body with an excessive reduction in lymphatic circulation and a stagnation of fluid.
It has a draining and anti-edematous action, stimulates an increase in infoangiomotricity: a drainage of the interstitium that promotes the movement of fluids, proteins and immune cells as well as the elimination of various waste for the benefit of tissue circulation.
The effects of manual lymphatic drainage on the body are analgesic, toning and draining.
The massage involves slow and superficial maneuvers. particularly suitable for: primary and secondary lymphedema (post-mastectomy, axillary emptying), water retention, post plastic and cosmetic surgery, headaches.
